The Powerful Boy
Just before the credits of this yers X-mas special The Next Doctor , the title was revealed for the 2009 Easter Special.
WARNING SPOILERS BELOW!
RUMORS
O The episode might be set on Skaro, home planet of the Daleks, as a early Dalek story had the title The Dead Planet which is similar to the Easter Special title. This is also highly unlikely as as Skaro no longer exists. Anyway, Russell T Davies commented to Doctor Who Magazine saying that there will be new monsters in the special.
O Maybe the Doctor Who team are going to Tunisia to film the flashback scenes of the eighth Doctor in the Time War on Gallifrey, as it was annonced that the 8th incarnation of the Doctor will make a comeback in one of the specials as a flashback.
TEASERS
O Filming for the episode starts 19th January 2009 (the same date The Next Doctor DVD is released!) but will David be fit enough to act after his back surgery?
O The Doctor Who team will be in Tunisia for 4 days to film some scenes for the special.
O The episode is written by both Russell T Davies and Gareth Robert.
O It is also directed by James Strong.
O The Doctor will be without the TARDIS!
O The Unified Intelligence Taskforce (UNIT for short) will return in the episode.
O Two new characters called Malcolm and Christina are said to be in the special - maybe one or both of them will star as the Doctor's one-off companion/s!
